During the PL-2 year, there is exposure to elective activities and rotations. This area of training is expanded during the PL-3 year during which the resident can choose from a variety of electives, including: allergy/immunology, bioethics, cardiology, child development, dermatology, endocrinology,genetics, hematology/oncology, medical genetics, nephrology, pathology, perinatology, physical and rehabilitation medicine, pulmonology, radiology, research, rheumatology, surgery, surgical specialties and private practice preceptorship.
